Vehicle Launch
For the launch of the 2023 Honda Accord, I worked again with the great team at Taylor James to expand on the Hondaverse environments created in Unreal Engine, to realize the full suite of images and video needed for the website and all other deliverables. All vehicles and backgrounds are 100% CGI. Enjoy.

Hondaverse Creation & Vehicle Launch
This project was one of the most challenging and rewarding that I’ve worked on so far. For the last year or so we’ve been required to create all of the launch imagery for Honda using only CG vehicles on licensed backplates. This option did not offer us any flexibility with lighting or camera angle adjustments. So I worked together with Taylor James to design and create multiple full CG environments using Unreal Engine (UE), that woud allow us to have 100% control over the time of day, time of year (seasons), vehicle placment, and camera position and lensing. It was basically a vitual photoshoot with total control of the vehicle and environment (a la Bruce Almighty). After designing an ‘urban’ environment, a ‘wooded lakeside chalet’ environment, and a ‘parking garage’ environment, I did virtual location scouting and directed a suite of images and videos within our newly created Hondaverse. CONTENT CREATION /// 2019 Honda Passport
Vehicle Launch
This was a fun project. I conceptualized and art directed the storyline and look & feel of the suite of imagery that was to be the 2019 Honda Passport model launch. This was a Code Red vehicle, so I travelled with photographer Jeff Ludes to shoot the backplates in CO and UT with a stand-in vehicle, then came back to CA to shoot the Honda vehicles and talent in a secure location. I then worked with Jeff and retoucher Kevin Buckley to put all the pieces together to compose these images. Enjoy.
